my apologies.

I felt that I needed to at least give you guys an update of what's going on in my life. My life has been super busy and rediculous. The only day that I wore a cute outfit was to a funeral, and I felt that it was inappropriate to take a picture.
Today, I'm meeting my dad for lunch and I'm going to talk to him about some heavy stuff that I've never had the confidence in doing, so wish me luck. I'm really nervous and scared, which is why I've been up since 8:30, and I don't even have to babysit this morning.
Oh yeah, and I got a job type thing. I babysit my two cousins every other morning. I make more than minimum wage, and I don't have to do that much, so this is okay for me.
I'm sorry that I haven't been updating as I would've liked, but life is taking over, and I've got some shit that I have to take care of. If you really want to keep updated in my life (which I don't see why you wouldn't!) add me on facebook or follow me on twitter.
Anyway, since this post is COMPLETELY boring and has no pictures, why don't you tell me what's been going on in your life.

Loveyouall !

glee.

i'm sure you've all heard of it. and if you haven't please look the show up.
the season finale was this past tuesday, and i've been obsessed with it all season. i have (almost) all of the songs on my ipod, and seriously, i rock out in the car. if you would see me, you'd think i was performing. fantastic.
i haven't been feeling my best lately, so i don't have any cute outfit posts for you. i decided i'd just share a little bit of my obsession.

along with the wonderful music, vocal abilites and choreography, the male performers on the show aren't so bad to look at.

Mark Salling plays Noah "Puck" Puckerman. Oh, hello.
aaaand

Matthew Morrison plays Mr. Will Schuester. I mean, really.

I will leave you with a video of Mark singing "Sweet Caroline," one of my all-time favorite songs.

congrats class of 2010 !

For the past three days, I've been to three graduations. The first was the Life Skills (Special Education) Graduation, secondly was my school's graduation and third was my best friend's graduation.

This is what I wore to my best friend's graduation:

Dress: I stole from her (she bought from Dots) | Cardigan: WalMart | Shoes: Payless

Her name's Tonya and she's graduating from Dauphin County Vocational Technical School. She was in the cosmetology program. We've been best friends since we were two. (:

Like I said earlier, I went to the Life Skills (Special Education) graduation on Monday night. My mom works at my school in a Life Skills classroom as a Teacher's Aide. Before I went to cyberschool, I used to go into her classroom all the time and hang out with the students. They are all really great kids and I love every single one of them. Last week, I went to their Field Day that they had and we had a blast!

This is a picture of myself and a girl named Adaira. She graduated on Monday. It was very hard for me to see her go because she means a lot to me. Last year at the Special Olympics I was her buddy, and ever since then we've been really great friends. I will miss her dearly.

Ah, and this is Guy. He is the most precious person you will ever meet. He may call girls "he" but he loves everyone. This picture was taken at a Special Olympics event about a month ago, and I was his partner. That same day I lost my voice and he kept asking me if I was going to be okay, and kept offering me water. (:

And finally, I just want to let you know that I will be blogging on the I Love Fatshion Network Blog, doing a bi-weekley segment starting next Friday. My segment will be about Fatshionistas in the News. Go check it out.

we shall overcome

The title's kind of cheesey, but I'm cheesey.
This weekend was full of me overcoming my styling fears. Twice this weekend I did something (that to many people may not seem like a big deal) that I would NEVER do. I (a) put my hair up with a cute outfit on IN PUBLIC ! and
(b) wore a tank top in public WITHOUT a cardigan.

I didn't get a proper photo of my outfit from Saturday, even though it was really cute.

Skirt: American Apparel | Both Tanks: Old Navy | Cardigan: WalMart | Shoes: Toms

On Saturday, I went to the Tambura Lovers Extravaganza !
Tambura or Tamburitza is a type of music that is popular in Croatia and other Balkan Countries. I'm Croatian, so I go to festivals and dances a lot. It's an important part of my life, and I always embrace my heritage.
I'm in a Croatian Dance group, called the Kolo Club Marian (look at our facebook page!) and we perform traditional dances and songs from Croatia. It's a lot of fun, and you should look into the music and culture.

That is one of the bands that played on Saturday, and they're called Zadnja Stanica meaning "last station."
I know all the guys in the band, and the one in the middle front row is my dance teacher ! I've known him all my life and he's one of my favorite people ever.

ANYWAY - GETTING BACK TO FASHION (as if this post isn't long enough)

This is what I wore today:

Everything is from Old Navy, except for the shoes (Toms) and the necklace (I can't remember).
DETAILS:

I love these shoes! They're so comfortable and they look awesome with everything.
And for every pair you buy, they donate a pair to a child in need! Toms.com

I wear this necklace every day. I continue to add charms to it whenever I get them.
In order: Autism Awareness Ribbon, Red and White Croatian Grb, Grey Scale Croatian Grb, Silver "N" (that my dance teacher and his family got for me for my sweet 16), Peace Sign

what i'm lookin' for

I've always loved heels, they improve your posture and make your legs look fantastic. As I got older, I stopped wearing them because I thought I was too tall. But now I'm proud of how tall I am (I'm 5'9"), especially in heels.
That being said, I'm looking for a great pair of summer heels. I find heels are easier to dance in and I feel hot in them.
So for my first installment of What I'm Lookin' For, it will be nude heels/pumps.

1. SM Karro Patent Pump in Taupe (dsw.com)
2. ASOS Princess Peep Toe Shoe in Nude
3. ASOS HEARTY 3 bow T-Bar Shoe in Nude
4. No. 704b Amanda Leather Cut Out Platform Pump (dsw.com)
5. London Stiletto in Ivory Snake (alloy.com)
6. Fiona Heel in Tan (alloy.com)

Although I love all of these shoes, I have trouble finding shoes because I wear a size 11, and like many of you, suffer from wide feet.
Do any of you know of any online shops that sell cute wide-width shoes?

memorial day weekend

First (real) post ! yaaay !

I'll start off first by saying that I had a great memorial day weekend, and I hope you all had a great one too. Secondly, I apologize for not updating, but I really didn't have a great outfit to post until last Saturday, and I was busy the rest of the weekend. You'll be hearing more of me, I promise !

Here's my outfit from Saturdaaay:

Dress: Old Navy
Cardigan: Old Navy (can you guess I shop there?)
Belt: My grandmother's
Shoes: Payless. (although barely visible, they're just white flats)
Sunglasses: Hot Topic.

I wore that outfit to my cousin's first holy communion party. Later, I had a bonfire at my house and a bunch of my friends came over and we played volleyball, made s'mores, and had bunches of fun.

I have bunches of ideas about posts, and like I said before, I'll be posting a lot more. And as a bonus, I'll give you a fab picture of my mom from this Saturday ! :D
